2007 started off for us with Sheila here in January. She left us at the end of a very mild January and made way for the next set of visitors.
In Feb 2007 Alan and Elaine Mildren came to visit. They are both old friends of Joannes parents. They were travelling all around Australia and had 10 days in Brisbane. We picked them up in the city after they dropped off the rental car and took them back to our house.
While they were here we commenced `Hattersley scenic tours!` (Kidding!) and went out and showed them around. They had been to Brisbane 17 years ago so things really had changed!
We took them to Mount Coot-tha, the botanical garderns, Lone Pine, Australia Zoo, Tambourine Mountain, Sanctuary Cove and much much more.
On the Saturday before they left we held a birthday dinner for Elaine. Invited were Alan, Elaine , mark, me, Margaret, Phillipa and Gunnar. All who attended had a great time and we ate LOADS.
